Vehicle Import Requirements
- All vehicles imported into Singapore must comply with Land Transport Authority (LTA) regulations.
- Vehicles must be less than 3 years old from the date of manufacture.
- Right-hand drive vehicles only are permitted.
- Vehicles must meet Euro VI emission standards or equivalent.
- A Certificate of Entitlement (COE) must be obtained before importing a vehicle.
- An approval letter from LTA is required prior to shipping.
Container Import Requirements
- All shipments are subject to inspection by Singapore Customs.
- A detailed packing list and commercial invoice are required for all container shipments.
- Personal effects may be imported duty-free if owned and used for at least 3 months.
- Prohibited items include chewing gum, tobacco products, and certain medications.
- Dutiable goods such as alcohol and tobacco products must be declared.
